Sony used to release a new flagship smartphones every six months. The thinking behind this was it wanted to show off how innovative it was as a brand, and the best way to do this was to update its flagship smartphone regularly. However, this strategy caused confusion rather than excitement and has now been scrapped.

It’s now understood that as of 2016, Sony will revert to launching a new flagship every 12 months, starting with the new Xperia Z6 at MWC in February.

A 4K UltraHD screen is set to be the Z6’s killer feature, borrowing tech from the recently launched Sony Z5 Premium. Also, Sony is keen to promote its smartphones as having the best cameras on the market, so expect to see new camera features/tech to solidify this position. Expect all of your favourite Xperia Z5 features - waterproof, fingerprint sensor, big battery - to be rolled over into the Z6 also.

Sony Z6 Specification

 Sony will launch Z6 version in three categories as in normal Xperia Z6, Xperia Z6 Compact and Xperia Z6 Premium. But apart from these versions, Sony may launch Xperia Z6 Ultra. According to the under report it still expected that Sony may soon released Xperia Z5 Ultra with will have almost same features as in Xperia Z5 Premium. Hope so for the best from Sony.

Sony Xperia Z6 Display

It was expected that the Z5 smartphone would launch with Gorilla Glass Display but when it released all the display expectations are scattered. Now Xperia Z5 is available with normal resolution display though it has high resolution. Again users are expecting more advanced display technology would be available in Sony Xperia Z6 Smartphone so the availability of Corning Gorilla Glass is now more for next flagship by Sony. But according to the flooding news, it will launch with IPS LCD Capacitive touch Screen with resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. Some other features will be added up to display as Scratch Resistance, Oleo Phobic coated.

Sony Xperia Z6 Camera and Memory

Well we can see that recently launched handset features 32GB ROM or internal memory with expandable capacity upto 128GB with MicroSD slot. As per the Z6 expectation, there will be approx 64GB ROM which may expand upto 200 GB with MicroSD slot. It will be 4 GB RAM would added up in Z6.

As per the camera MP capacity, there will be 23+ MP Primary Camera and 8 MP Secondary Camera available in Xperia Z6 Smartphone along with LED Flash light.

Operating System and Battery of Sony Xperia Z6

Latest Operating System available with us is Lollipop. But still there are some smartphone who still don’t have the upgraded OS. Sony Xperia Z5 is running on Android Lollipop v5.1.1 and very soon we’ll have next version of OS as Android Marshmallow v6.1.1. So on Android v6.1.1 is one of the expected features in Z6 flagship. Quad Core Processor with 2.5 Ghz clock rate will be responsible to run all the inbuilt application.

This is main consequences which coming to every smartphone users mind. From the past trend of Sony, it appeared that it has either launched the handset by March or September months. Sony Xperia Z5 launched in October 2015 and following the same last sequence of released date, Sony Xperia Z6 is expected to be launched in March 2016. The Xperia Z5 can be picked up from £40 per month with a £29.99 upfront cost, or for £549.99 SIM free from October 2016. The price expectation for Xperia Z6 is £599.99 for SIM free handsets.
